I recently upgraded my boot SSD (OS and my recording studio software installed). I did a Clone using Macrium Reflect Pro (paid version) and the new/cloned disc acted almost like a new install, and never quite finished. I did an image of the old SSD and then restored to the new SSD and all was OK. 1) I backup system reserved and the partition on current SSD to an external disk using Macrium Reflect. 2) I create a boot DVD with Macrium. 3) I replace the SSDs and boot with Macrium DVD. 4) I restore both partitions to the new SSD and boot from the new SSD. 5) If it works I can delete the old system reserved freely. This is not a problem of space but a question whether you boot into the SSD at all and even if you did, you get slowed down by going via the HDD. As a quick check let's see what your boot times are. the problem i have now is fixing the boot sequence on the cloned partition. Everytime i boot the cloned windows 7 partition i get the winload.efi not found/missing. i tried repairing the boot via command prompt by using a windows 11 usb but no luck. i tried making a win 7 bootable usb but have not bee able to boot into it without it crashing at .

I tried to clone my OS from my old 60gb Intel SSD to a new 250gb Samsung SSD. After I cloned the OS and tried booting from the Samsung, Windows starts to load, then I get a blue screen. I couldn't get the problem resolved so I wiped the 250 and tried to boot from my Intel. 3. Click on the recovery partition, or whatever partition between the unallocated space & the partition you want to extend. 4. Click move/resize & a pop-up box will appear. 5. I can read all the files on the clone when it's plugged into my caddy and connected to my laptop running W10. But when I substitute the W10 disk on the laptop with the cloned disk booting up gets as far as the 'Welcome' screen and there it stays for about 4 minutes before the screen below appears. I did this by using a Win PE Live boot USB and ImageX to create wim files, then ImageX again to Apply the wim images to the new HDD. Cant create HP recovery CD's from within Win 7..the 4530 does not ship with the Recovery creation software.
