The LV-1020 are a specialized beast and deserve a thorough and proper restore by someone who knows what they are doing. Not being an a** just being honest like EddyR. Good luck with them if you do tackle it your self.

For what it's worth, I bought a new pair of LV 1020's in 1973. They were and still are the best speaker I have ever heard. I sold them in 1984 and have been chasing that sound ever since.
