Omega is my favorite brand among my collection so it's sad to me this happened, and I'm baffled how it happened. I purchased a brand new Aqua Terra 38mm and found a dust under the crystal, so I took it to an AD in January. Then again, they apparently service 15,000 watches per year so a few bad reports is understandable amongst a sea of glowing reports? Duncan at Genesis gets rave reviews and is very popular but there also seems to be a huge waiting list of 6 months or so. Send it to Omega directly. I did that, and got back a practically brand new watch: Wait time was around 8 months. My service price was a little over k, but included an optional dial replacement. If you do, just send it straight to the NJ service center since it'll most likely go to Switzerland anyway. Official Time Watch in Utah for all future work on my Omegas, ever since they overhauled (and refinished the case on) my 911 Flightmaster. It was about half the cost of what Omega charges, much faster turnaround, and substantially less expensive than the quotes I got from the trustworthy independent watchmakers who offered to do it. 1.
